Bateleur Eagle – Kruger National Park

Hyena are famed as scavengers who dine on the kills of other predators, but are actually skilled hunters in their right. Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala and other antelope are regularly hunted, although they are also know to eat much smaller prey such as lizards and frogs.
Fish Eagle
It’s not all about the mammals, 517 species of bird can be found in Kruger National of which 253 species including the fish eagle are permanent residents.
Watching The Kids
Dad was just chilling and watching the cubs play when we saw this lion pride on the morning Kruger National Park game drive.
Black Backed Jackals
With the Big Cats taking centre stage in Africa, sometimes it easy to forget the dog species out there. The Black backed Jackal is the smallest of the jackal species, they are monogamous and territorial. Diet varies from small antelope to lozards and beetles and even berries, tthe dogs are hunters but are known to scavenge as well. Gestation period for pups is 2 months, older siblings will sometimes help in the care of new pups.
